Artist Manifestos

I love Andrew Marr and this week’s Start the Week podcast explores the the links between skills, ideas and media in design. An interesting prediction made by Neville Brody is one of an energetic revival of the artist/designer as a revolutionary, an idealist. The overall discussion of the role and importance of the artist’s manifesto was something that I found incredibly interesting, particularly the differences between the manifesto and the actual artworks as pointed out by Susan Hiller.
